Saaremaa Museum is one of the oldest (founded in 1865) and biggest museums in Estonia. At the heart of the museum is an episcopal castle built during the 14th and 15th century – this is one of the most interesting and best preserved fortification structures in Estonia.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Four of the five Angla windmills are typical trestle windmills characteristic of the island of Saaremaa. They were built at the beginning of the 20th century. A Dutch-style windmill, slightly taller than the others and built in 1927, stands in the middle of the group. Now also forming part of the complex is the Angla Heritage Culture Centre, where you can take part in a number of workshops – trying your hand at pottery, felting, bread-making and more.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Panga cliff is the highest bedrock outcrop in western Estonia and its islands. Visitors of the nature reserve can admire a breath-taking sunset, have a picnic, observe birds, take beautiful nature photos, and have fun on the village swing. There is also a dolomite sundial.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Muhu adventure park\n<\/a><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Muhu Adventure Park offers a proper challenge for everybody. The park has places to climb and heights to defeat that are perfect for both the old and the young, as well as for beginners and the advanced. There you will find 8 trails of different difficulty that are built onto trees. The total length of the trails is about 1,200 meters. Both adults and children will find something exciting to do here. This park also offers the opportunity to take part in children’s day camps, hikes, team games, children’s yoga, and children’s mornings, play paintball and celebrate birthdays.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

S\u00f5rve Lighthouse is the highest lighthouse in the Baltic sea (52m high). It offers beautiful views all around the S\u00f5rve peninsula. We personally don\u2019t recommend it for small children (there are lots of stairs to go up and no elevator! If you have the strength you can carry your little ones up there).<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Besides the ostriches, this farm also has kangaroos, alpacas and ponies! It\u2019s perfect to go there on your way in or out of Saaremaa since it\u2019s located in Muhu (near to Virtsu where the ferry is).<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Our favorite place for swimming if you prefer warmer water than in the sea! Surrounded by beautiful pine trees and you also get to rent a boat if you\u2019d like to! If you are visiting Saaremaa in June or early July then we highly recommend visiting Peony Gardens! It\u2019s an amazing place especially if you love flowers since there will be thousands of peonies blooming at the same time! The event dates vary a bit due to weather and when flowers start blooming but it\u2019s usually between June 1st – 30th. Also – you can buy your favorite plants and take them home!<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n
